What makes your law firm unique?
We provide the highest level of legal services and ethical advice to all our clients, whether our assignments are large or small. Together with our network of accomplished expert and investigative services and personnel, we devote our considerable resources and expertise to insuring legal representation which is zealous, sensitive and effective. We have had noteworthy success in developing many early defensive responses to investigations which have resulted in the avoidance of criminal charges for many of our clients. Professional discretion prevents us from listing the clients by name where their cases have remained confidential, but they include a diverse group of individuals and businesses allegedly involved in white collar matters such as health care fraud, tax fraud, telemarketing fraud, mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, credit card fraud, insurance fraud, immigration fraud, theft, environmental crimes, obscenity, and drugs and controlled substances offenses.
Where do your clients come from?
We receive most of our client business referrals from our colleagues in the civil bar, including many from large law firms. They know our work and depend on us to serve the special legal needs of their clients in matters not regularly or expertly handled by many civil law firms We also get client referrals from many other criminal defense attorneys from around the country who know us and respect our work. When their clients have a problem in in the Tampa area, we are available to help. Finally, we also get clients referred to us from local State court criminal trial lawyers who are not comfortable in the often more rigorous and complicated environment of Federal court.
What are your fees?
The Florida Bar rules of ethics do not permit criminal defense lawyers to work on a contingency fee basis, so that makes it very different from the ways a personal injury or other plaintiff’s case is handled. The criminal defense client must pay the lawyer’s fees at the time of engagement, but often that engagement is structured to work with the abilities of the client to marshal their financial resources. But every case is unique and factually complicated in its own ways. Criminal defense lawyering does not really lend itself to a formalistic fee structure. We encourage you to contact Attorney Reback to discuss the demands of your particular case.
